Library News--Important Update and Change of Plans
Hi East Ridge Book-Loving Families!
This week's ER Library Book Pick-up/Drop-off for Wednesday, March 24 has been RESCHEDULED FOR NEXT WEEK MARCH 31 11am-1pm AND 3:30-5:30pm
(Please note the late afternoon time extended by an hour for your convenience.😎)
Reason: Your response the past two weeks to my request to turn in all overdue library books has been so sensational that I am deluged with hundreds of bags of books that I have yet to get all checked in! Thank you for so conscientiously responding to my need. I am matching lots of pending student requests this week with all the books that came in. Lots of students will be receiving books next week at Book Bag Pick-up that they have been requesting for quite some time. 😊
It's wonderful to be welcoming students back on campus this week for Bridge Week!
Thanks for your enthusiastic support of East Ridge Elementary, and your most local public library
See you all next Wednesday!
Teacher-Librarian, East Ridge Elementary
This week's game is Line of Silence. The SEL skill is Communication – sharing information through speaking, listening, writing, reading, sign language, or body language. This week's Brain Break is My DVD Player. Teachers may be doing these activities in class, and kids can do them at home, too! Our team will also be using many of the Playworks games when students return to school and recess. Thank you, PTA, for this resource!
March Trait - SELF REFLECTION
Self-reflection is the habit of deliberately paying attention to your own thoughts, emotions, decisions, and behaviors. Here's a typical example: ... We periodically reflect back on an event and how we handled it in hopes that we learn something from it and make better decisions in the future.
