ASB Food Drive - May 13 - 31

Calling all East Ridge Students and Families! Let’s take action to fight local hunger by participating in East Ridge’s Food Drive Campaign. Currently, 12 million children in the United States are food insecure. Let’s help to decrease this number by supporting our local food bank, Woodinville Storehouse, who serves families in the Woodinville, Bothell, Kenmore, Kirkland and Redmond areas. http://www.woodinvillestorehouse.org/

Needed items: canned fruits, canned meats - tuna/chicken, cereals - hot & cold, peanut butter, pasta/pasta sauce (tomato, alfredo, etc.), rice/pasta boxed dinners,  beans/lentils, Top Ramen/soups/canned chili, condiments, baking supplies -flour, sugar, cooking oil, rice/soy, almond milk (special needs), travel size toiletries.

Thank you for your support!

Track and Field

Thank you to all the amazing volunteers who helped with the Track & Field Home Meet here on Tuesday, May 7th. We had a good turn out and the kids had a great time. Success! We couldn’t have done it without the fabulous parents and staff members who helped make it happen.
We appreciate the leadership of Coaches Mitch, Kristen and Andrew!

Ready Start Program

Our new Ready Start program is a blended multi-age, inclusive model, serving students, ages 3-5. We are currently enrolling at both locations (Sorenson and Cottage Lake Elementary) for the 19/20 school year. Classrooms are taught and supported by a general education teacher, a special education teacher, and a para-professional. Inclusive classrooms create a dynamic learning environment for all students. The average class size is 16 students, with class make-up of 8 students with IEP’s, 5 students who pay tuition, and 3 students who are income eligible. Classrooms utilize The Creative Curriculum & Teaching Strategies GOLD Assessment Tool. The staff is committed to fostering student learning and cultivating friendships while creating a sense of community for our students. Utilizing developmentally appropriate teaching strategies to support a whole child approach to learning, within an inclusive environment, fosters high levels of student learning and social and emotional growth for all students.

For enrollment paperwork please visit our Northshore School District website @ https://www1.nsd.org/schools/programs-services/early-childhood/ready-start-tuition-program or contact Sorenson (425) 408-5570 for enrollment paperwork.
