First Quarter Progress Reports

For elementary students, the end of the first quarter of the 2020-21 school year is Friday, November 13. Progress Reports will be sent home to families on Monday, November 23rd. Assessing student progress in the distance learning setting is challenging, and our teachers will do their best to gauge your child’s progress toward grade level standards in core areas so far this year. On the progress report for grades 1-5, teachers will note whether or not a student is performing at standard at this time in Reading and Math with a Y for yes, and an N for no. These reports also contain a section on “Behaviors that Promote Student Learning.” Teachers will note if a student exhibits these traits “Consistently,” “Often,” “Sometimes” or “Rarely.” For Kindergarten students, teachers will note on the progress report whether a child is making satisfactory progress overall or if some areas are still developing.

We are hoping to use email to send home these progress reports, and we want to check to make sure that method will work for each family. We can also send progress reports via US Mail. Please take this short survey to let us know your preference for receiving the progress reports (email or US mail): Thank you!
