Update on Masking in Northshore

Gov. Inslee announced Feb. 28 that the statewide indoor mask mandate will end on March 12. Barring any new requirement(s) from the Washington State Department of Health, Public Health Seattle & King County, and the Snohomish Health District; the Northshore School District, at this time, plans to follow the changing State and CDC recommended COVID guidelines by allowing indoor masking to be optional for students, visitors, and vaccinated employees effective March 12. As a reminder, mandates for indoor masking and masking on school buses remain in place for this week.

Dr. Reid will send a more detailed message early this week following a collaborative review of additional information from the Department of Health as updates to the Washington State Department of Health K-12 COVID-19 Requirements are announced, inclusive of a confirmation from both local health jurisdictions.
